In science we learned about the different phases of the moon. The students had fun making moons using shaving cream. It was so much fun but extremely messy!!!!!!!
The Spirit of Uganda came to our school in the month of February for Black History month. What an amazing experience! There were 21 performers all ranging from ages 12-20. These students have worked so hard. Thank you so much Ms. Johnson for bringing these students to our school and allowing us to share in such a wonderful presentation. As we celebrate black history month, our students created shakers with facts and pictures about a famous African-American. They had fun and presented their shakers to the class and shared what they learned about the person!!
A night full of reading, fun and friends! Reading Night at Barnes & Noble was a huge success. Many students came out and had a great time listening teachers read stories, making bookmarks and enjoying time with friends outside of school.
We had a great time supporting our school in this years McTeacher night in McDonalds on February 6th.
CONGRATULATIONS to these wonderful readers. These students were able to meet their AR goal of 20 points or more for the 2nd nine weeks. They were treated to pizza for lunch from Papa Johns. Way to go and lets keep on reading!
We did it!!!! As a class we completed two science fair projects. Both of our class projects placed; Floating Wonder won 2nd place and Mystery Mixture won 3rd place. The students had such an amazing time becoming little scientists!
Since the weather was so nice, we decided to take our lesson outside and enjoy some wonderful Miami weather. During the week of November 11-15 we learned about the importance of voting. We learned that by voting we have to chance to choose and make our voices heard. We had a class election and the students voted on a class president. Our president was Sebastian and vice president is Denise. Congratulations! |
