It's that time of year that we all think about all the things we are thankful for. I am so thankful for all my wonderful students. Each and everyone of you are so special to me. I am so happy that we were able to celebrate together. A special thank you to Ms. Boza and her class for joining us!!! We had such a great time in our "Class Thanksgiving Feast". The students ate a delicious turkey sandwich from Publix, chips, pumpkin spiced muffins topped with whipped cream and a juice. All of our bellies were full and our hearts were too. The students had so much fun making Witches Brew Frozen swamp water=lime sorbet Cat eyes=green grapes Vampire Blood=Red Hawaiian Punch Liquid star shine=7up Eaten with rat brains (popcorn) and toad bones (pretzels) We had a great time learning all about graphing in Math! The kids learned how to collect data in a tally table and create a frequency table, picture graph, vertical bar graph and horizontal bar graph. We surveyed the class to find out which Pringles chip flavor was most liked. The students liked ranch best!!!! In social studies we learned about the 7 continents and the 4 major oceans. Students made their own model globe using a balloon. We learned a little song that helped us remember the 7 names of the continents. Continents, Continents Do you know your continents? North, south, east, west, all around the world Asia, Africa, North and South America Australia, Antarctica and Europe too! Hello boys and girls. This page of our website is called a blog and through it we will be able to talk to each other when we are not in school.
This will be an opportunity for you to communicate, not only with me, but also with each other. If you have any questions regarding home learning I will try my best to help you by answering thru the blog. I will be blogging throughout the year and hope to see your entries often. In science we learned about the different phases of the moon. The students had fun making moons using shaving cream. It was so much fun but extremely messy!!!!!!! |
